"Claret is the liquor for boys; port for men;
but he who aspires to be a hero must drink brandy."

And the one who serves brandy must be a kingmaker, then.

I do aspire, but I'm drinking port right now. What I really want to know is what drinking bourbon makes you.

bourbon strikes me as grittier. it's the five o'clock shadow, white tee shirt and blues guitar sort of grit. certainly not princely, but honorable in its own right, according to an old and venerable tradition. me thinks you'll fit in well in Nashvul.

True, but bourbon has the hipster cachet going for it right now. Tequila too, but how many aristocratic pretensions can one assign to booze?

I most certainly will not fit in well in Nashville!
